Flood protection systems protect property and often lives. They must be absolutely reliable. That's why we have developed our own test centre. We test linear barriers, mobile barriers and gate systems in practice and in harsh conditions simulating a flood wave or log impacts.

Simulation of tidal waves and log impact

Sensitive sensors control the testing at all times. They monitor deflection and displacement of the guardrail. We use the Profil leScope laser instrument for the measurements. The flood simulation can be carried out with both fresh and salt water. We can simulate a tidal wave, tree impact and wave run-up. The channel can be divided into four independently functioning test sections. The level is measured automatically by the instruments.
The tested products can be easily and quickly fixed in anchor sleeves along the entire length of the channel. In the case of heavy product testing, a 1,600 kg electric cat lifting track is available.  Industrial cameras continuously monitor the test centre. Water for testing is stored in a stable storage tank. It can be used repeatedly. We are actively reducing the environmental burden of the test centre.

Overpressure chamber

The overpressure chamber is used to test the effect of pressure on products. In the chamber we can simulate different water column heights. The chamber is 3 m wide and 3 m high.

Testing progress

Install the test product on the face of the concrete chamber. The chamber space is filled with water. Air pressure is applied to the water surface. Products can be tested up to a water level of 50 m.

The testing room is equipped with a test flood wall with automatic filling and draining function.

Testing in the test room

The test room is designed for testing heavy and bulky products. For easy handling, assembly and installation of heavy products, there is an 8,000 kg overhead crane and a rail track extended to the front door of the test room.

Control room

The room is equipped with a control terminal to control, monitor and evaluate the ongoing test processes. There is also the possibility of monitoring via on-line cameras.
There is also a fume hood with extraction for testing and examination of samples of development materials.
